“Sejauh Mata Memandang x TULUS Present Pasar Kita Exhibition”
To welcome Indonesia’s Independence Month, Sejauh Mata Memandang presents Pasar Kita, an exhibition inspired by the atmosphere of traditional markets and the values of gotong royong (mutual cooperation), togetherness, and Indonesia’s cultural richness.
Held at Rama Atrium, Grand Indonesia (18 July–31 August 2025), Pasar Kita invites #SahabatSejauh to explore the beauty of local products, appreciate the work of artisans, and experience the warmth of collaboration in a vibrant, familiar market setting.
Pasar Kita serves as a gathering space for local artisans and small businesses. Together with our Studio Sejauh partners such as Cusia by Shibiru, Craft Denim, Gekiori, Sakombu, Toja Indonesia, Kait Handmade, and Vitarlenology, we’ve created a marketplace experience that feels close to daily life.
As part of the exhibition, we are launching a collaborative collection with TULUS, featuring his personal hand-drawn sketches blended with Sejauh’s signature motifs. These designs come to life on cotton and TENCEL™️ fabrics through two techniques: hand-screen printing made in collaboration with SMEs in Duri Puri Kauh Village, Denpasar, and stamped batik created by our artisan partners in Pekalongan, Central Java. The pieces are presented in black and deep navy, two colors that reflect TULUS’ artistic character across many of his works.
Each motif in the collection reflects emotional expression and the harmony between humans and nature which are visualized through positive and negative square patterns that resemble kain poleng. Flowing organic shapes, like waves, clouds, the moon, and the sun, also appear as gentle reminders of life and our shared responsibility to care for nature.
Behind the visual elements of the Pasar Kita exhibition, we’ve made efforts to reuse what already exists. 90% of the installation is made from reused and upcycled materials, repurposing wooden panels from our previous events and transforming leftover fabric scraps into decorations. At the Warung Pop-Up cashier area, we’ve added Sejauh’s signature chicken-patterned from Tegel Kunci’s cement tiles.
As part of our commitment to the Earth, every purchase of a garment supports the planting of one tree in the Leuser Ecosystem Area, East Aceh.
The Sejauh Mata Memandang x TULUS collection is available exclusively at Sejauh Mata Memandang’s Warung Pop-Up at the Pasar Kita exhibition, from 18 July to 31 August 2025. The collection will also be available online starting 25 July 2025 at www.sejauh.com.
