Sejoli Sejauh: Lutfi & Lia

Lutfi and Lia’s story began in college, where they started out as close friends. As fate would have it, studying together in the same classes and working on assignments led them to see each other in a new light. Despite her initial hesitations about dating a friend, Lia found that the connection she had with Lutfi felt right. Nearly five years later, they tied the knot in December 2022.

Their first date still makes them laugh—a mix of excitement and awkwardness as they realized they were suddenly “dating” someone who had once just been a friend. Through many ups and downs, they learned the importance of open communication. Lia admits she can sometimes be reluctant to talk things out, but Lutfi encourages direct conversations, helping them address issues calmly.

Although they don’t usually go for matching couple items, they both fell in love with Sejauh Mata Memandang’s “Ombak Laut” pieces and decided to wear them for their pre-wedding photo shoot.
