When the Time Feels Right: Keissa & Salman Love Journey
Some connections happen without much planning. Keissa and Salman met on campus in early 2018 through a mutual friend, a simple introduction that could have ended there. Months later, a casual chat about the World Cup brought them closer, and their conversations grew naturally, unhurried and easy.
Their first date felt just as effortless. While Keissa was volunteering at the Asian Games and staying at a hotel, Salman stopped by with a cup of coffee. They sat in the lobby and talked for hours, unaware it had become a moment they would both remember.
After six years together, they chose to get married in their seventh year. Over time, they came to understand that a relationship is shaped not only by celebrations, but by the quieter work of showing up, listening, understanding, and choosing to be present when it matters.

That shared understanding shaped the values they hold today, from responsibility and consistency to the everyday decisions that reflect what they believe in.
They find inspiration in people like Nicholas Saputra and Sejauh founder Chitra Subyakto, for how they speak about consistency in their choices and the way they carry their values into everyday work. Seeing responsibility woven into their daily lives reminds them that caring for the planet doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be something you can begin, and continue, in your own way.
“I’m still learning,” Keissa said. “For now, I try to care through small, everyday choices I can actually keep up with.”

That mindset shows up in their own habits, from what they wear to how they care for the things they already own. For them, mindful living isn’t about big changes, but about thoughtful steps that feel honest and manageable. One example is how they look after their favorite clothes: being selective with what they use when washing, and making sure each piece is neatly arranged in the wardrobe so it stays in good condition and lasts longer.
Keissa’s connection with Sejauh Mata Memandang began during her pre-wedding planning. Drawn to a modern heritage theme, she searched for a motif that felt meaningful and discovered “Tumbuh”. Curious, she looked up its meaning and learned that it symbolizes harmony and balance.
“After finding that out, I instantly fell in love and decided to choose Tumbuh,” she said. “We hope harmony and balance will always be present between us.”
They also shared that, to them, Sejauh feels sincere in the way it treats culture with care while presenting it in a form that feels modern and easy to wear.

Keissa and Salman’s intention to live more consciously shows up in simple habits, like bringing reusable bags whenever they head out or go shopping, in the hope of cutting down on plastic use and waste.
Much like their relationship, the way they move through life is calm, steady, and sincere. There’s no rush and no need for grand gestures, just two people choosing, day by day, to grow together in ways that feel true to them.
