Nariswari and Edward, who celebrated their eco-friendly wedding a year ago, have an intriguing love story. Their commitment to environmental values is not only evident in their wedding but also in their unique journey of love, which began on a popular dating app. Despite a brief romantic relationship, they swiftly decided to take their relationship to the next level: marriage. Let’s dive into Nariswari and Edward’s captivating story.
Sejauh (S): How long have you been dating? Tell us about it…
Nariswari (N): Our relationship progressed from acquaintance to marriage in just six months. Edward, a convert to Islam, was clear about seeking a serious relationship and proposed ta'aruf, as recommended in Islam. When we met, I was single and open to a serious commitment. Despite his full-body tattoos, which might suggest otherwise, Edward was deeply committed to Islamic practices. Our mutual hobbies and interests sparked my curiosity about him. We had profound discussions early on to ensure our values and life visions aligned. Edward even sought my mother's approval in just three weeks, and surprisingly, she was convinced. Our relationship was direct and certain, without any gray areas, and everything felt right.
S: Where did you first meet? Could you share the details?
N: Interestingly, we met through the Tinder app.
S: Describe your first date.
N: It was a quick lunch at UNION Plaza Senayan on a weekend.
