Road Trips, Camping, and Heartfelt Moments: Astri Wulan Sari’s Family Adventure

Some families love a weekend staycation, while others—like Astri Wulan Sari’s—crave the open road. In 2016, Astri set off on a southern-route road trip from Bogor to Yogyakarta with a new travel companion: her three-month-old baby. Equal parts excited and nervous, she discovered that sharing these early journeys with her child added a special kind of warmth to every winding turn. Now, those memorable trips have grown into regular escapes through central and eastern Java, sometimes capped off with a simple camping experience under the stars.

For Astri, Sejauh Mata Memandang’s “Semanggi” and “Tumbuh” motifs capture the spirit of exploration and growth she hopes to pass along to her family. More than just design, Astri also appreciates a responsible approach to fashion—stepping away from polyester, cutting down on plastic use, and not hesitating to buy secondhand when it fits her needs. It’s all part of her bigger journey: creating memories, finding beauty in every corner of the road, and making choices that reflect her belief in caring for both her loved ones and the places they explore.
