Some people meet by chance, and for Emiliana (Mita) and Bernardus (Rio), that chance happened in kindergarten. Mita had just moved from Bandung and landed in Rio’s class; they became friends, though life took them in different directions when Mita transferred schools. Fast-forward to adulthood, and after a few missed connections, they finally reconnected on Instagram, sparking a new chapter that’s been going strong for five years.

They found the brand on social media and were drawn to its blend of modern and traditional style, combined with a thoughtful approach to production. When they tried Sejauh’s “Ombak Laut” motif, they loved the simple yet elegant design that felt connected to local heritage.

Mita and Rio are still learning about responsible fashion.
