Growing Happily with Puspita's Family

In Puspita’s home, attentiveness and deep care takes shape through daily rhythms as small acts. As a mom with two kids, she sees growth as something that happens in the little moments and habits they share every day. This is expressed in her choice of the “Tumbuh” motif from Sejauh Mata Memandang: “to always grow together in happiness”.

This belief is reflected in the way she and her husband raise their children, who are aged 10 and 7, to be independent. The children are taught to take responsibility for their own rooms, help set the table for meals, and look after their pet sugar gliders. These small tasks aren’t just about chores but give the children a real sense of ownership over their daily lives.

Together with her husband, Puspita nurtures care for the environment in her children through small, everyday practices such as sorting their waste and setting aside food scraps for composting, which they later use to nourish the home garden. For Puspita, it is a way to live out their values through practical activities that get their hands a little dirty

Weekends are often spent staying active, whether swimming, taking brisk walks, or trekking together. During school holidays, they prioritize traveling to create new memories. One of their most memorable trips was a campervan journey in New Zealand, where the limited space and facilities meant everyone pitched in, making teamwork a meaningful highlight for the family.

When the day ends, the family settles into their evening routine. Sharing stories before bed has become their cherished tradition, a simple way to strengthen their bonds.
