Life, Love, and Nature: Renjani’s Journey

Renjani Ekalaya Savira balances her work life with the time she treasures most at home with her husband and their two young sons.

Evenings follow a rhythm the family holds dear. She bathes the children, they share dinner, and end the night reading books together before bed, small rituals that bring them closer. 

When the weekend arrives, the pace slows down. From long mornings at home, to hours spent in bookstores or libraries. Sitting side by side among the shelves, they find joy in discovering new stories, a pause from the noise of the city.

Outside their daily rhythm, their most cherished memories are from trips taken without extra help, just the four of them. Traveling this way has taught them patience, trust, and the value of truly being present with one another.

These values also resonate with Renjani through Sejauh Mata Memandang’s motifs. The ‘Rimba’ motif reminds her of the ecosystems we need to protect, while the vibrant colors of the ‘Bunga Pencar’ bring warmth and energy into her days.

At home, Renjani and her family make efforts to care for the earth by sorting waste, reducing plastic, carrying refillable bottles, and avoiding materials that are difficult to break down, such as polyester. They also grow trees and medicinal herbs in their garden, teaching their sons that what we plant in nature can one day return to nurture us.
