Sejauh (S): How long have you been dating? Tell us about it…

Nariswari (N): Our relationship progressed from acquaintance to marriage in just six months. Edward, a convert to Islam, was clear about seeking a serious relationship and proposed ta'aruf, as recommended in Islam. When we met, I was single and open to a serious commitment. Despite his full-body tattoos, which might suggest otherwise, Edward was deeply committed to Islamic practices. Our mutual hobbies and interests sparked my curiosity about him. We had profound discussions early on to ensure our values and life visions aligned. Edward even sought my mother's approval in just three weeks, and surprisingly, she was convinced. Our relationship was direct and certain, without any gray areas, and everything felt right.

S: Where did you first meet? Could you share the details?

N: Interestingly, we met through the Tinder app.

S: Describe your first date.

N: It was a quick lunch at UNION Plaza Senayan on a weekend.

S: How well do you know your partner?

N: I understand and continually learn about his habits, preferences, and love language. I believe he does the same for me.

S: Any relationship tips you want to share?

N: Healthy communication, respecting personal boundaries, and maintaining trust are essential, especially as we both enjoy socializing and adventures.

S: What are your matching couple items?

N: Our wedding outfits from the Sejauh Mata Memandang Tambal Collection, which we reuse for special occasions. We also have matching Nike AF-1 Luxe Black and White Wedding Kicks and a Jurassic Park t-shirt from our honeymoon at Universal Studios Florida.

S: How did you discover Sejauh Mata Memandang?

N: I've been a fan since seeing Dian Sastro wear the "Chicken" Scarf in AADC 2 back in 2016.

S: Why did you choose Sejauh Mata Memandang?

N: As a Communication Specialist, I appreciate brands that champion sustainability, mirroring the values I uphold in my daily life. This aligned perfectly with my eco-friendly wedding concept, aiming for zero waste, including the choice of Istiqlal Mosque, a certified eco-friendly venue.

S: What was your first experience with Sejauh Mata Memandang like?

N: Delightful! I had always dreamt of a simple wedding wearing Sejauh Mata Memandang, and thankfully, it became a reality.

S: Which Sejauh Mata Memandang collection is most memorable for you?

N: The "Timun Mas" long dress. I wore it to the Taj Mahal in 2019 and received so much attention, it was like being a celebrity.

S: What is your understanding of responsible fashion?

N: It’s about sustainable practices from production to disposal, ensuring environmental safety and recyclability.

S: Who inspires you in slow living?

N: My mother, with her ethos of not being excessive or wasteful, aligns with the “Mottainai” culture I learned during my undergraduate studies in Japan.

S: #SejauhManaKamuPeduli for the planet?

N: Significantly. In addition to practicing sustainable living at home, my professional role involves creating CSR programs with a tangible environmental impact.
