Chitra Subyakto on Sejauh Mata Memandang’s Circular Fashion Journey – CNA Luxury

In 2014, our founder Chitra Subyakto started Sejauh Mata Memandang with a simple dream: to create clothing that feels comfortable in Indonesia’s tropical climate while celebrating local traditions.

Today, our journey has grown beyond fashion. Sejauh has become a voice for responsible and circular practices, blending design with environmental awareness. Through runways, exhibitions, and collaborations with artisans, activists, and innovators, we continue to share the message that fashion can be more than style. It can be a movement to care for the Earth.

In a recent feature by CNA Luxury, Chitra shares our story, from the beginnings with our beloved “Ayam” collection to the creation of Studio Sejauh, a creative and collaborative platform we built in our 10th anniversary to connect every stakeholder in textile supply system, from farmers and artisans to designers and consumers in moving the Indonesian fashion industry toward a more responsible future.
