Exploring Indonesian Flavors Through Chocolate with KAKAW and Sejauh Mata Memandang
This August, together with KAKAW Fine Chocolate & Patisserie, we celebrate Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day through "Bunga Laut, Tanah Rempah", a limited-edition praline collection infused with the flavors, traditions, and stories of Indonesia.
The collaboration invites Sahabat Sejauh to journey across the archipelago, from the western shores of Sumatra to the eastern horizons of Papua. Each chocolate tells a story of place and taste, reimagining heritage ingredients into something both familiar and new. From the tangy zest of Papua’s wild jeruk rimba and the floral notes of Arabika Wamena to the bold warmth of Sumatra’s rendang and andaliman, every praline reflects the depth and diversity of Indonesia’s culinary heritage.
Wrapped in Sejauh Mata Memandang’s signature Bunga Laut motif, the collection captures the beauty of Indonesia’s oceans and the connection between land, sea, and community. Just as the sea connects our islands, this collaboration brings together local ingredients with artisan craftsmanship.
