Sejauh Mata Memandang introduces the "KUDAPAN" Collection, which features fashion inspired by Indonesian snacks.

Sejauh Mata Memandang presented its latest collection titled "KUDAPAN" at the trunk show event held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Main Atrium of Grand Indonesia, East Mall, Floor 1, on the installation of the creative collaboration exhibition "RUMAH KITA" presented by Sejauh Mata Memandang, TACO Group, and Grand Indonesia.

The collections showcased are ready-to-wear clothes inspired by traditional Indonesian attire, modified to be worn on various occasions, and made in pastel colors such as light blue, sweet salmon, and bottle green with round motifs and layered line motifs inspired by traditional Indonesian snacks, namely Onde-onde and Layer Cakes.

"As Indonesians, we are familiar with these sweet snacks as an inseparable part of our social lives. These snacks are my favorites too. We also hope to be able to give them memorable meanings through the designs in this collection. Onde Onde represents good fortune and the hope for a better life for Indonesians. Meanwhile, the philosophy of lapis cake is one of unity and harmony." Chitra Subyakto, Sejauh Mata Memandang's founder and creative director, stated

The "KUDAPAN" collection is processed using two techniques. First, using stamped batik techniques and made in the village of Watukebo, Banyuwangi. Second, we used a hand filter printing technique in collaboration with SMEs from Bali in the village of Duri Puri Kauh. Still the same as the previous collections, Sejauh Mata Memandang uses Tencel and cotton, which are processed responsibly and are comfortable when worn in tropical climates.

Sejauh Mata Memandang also presented clothes made of white woven fabric with a faint motif of the chicken mascot, which is the typical Sejauh Mata Memandang (white on white) made in the Kedungwuni sub-district, Pekalongan, and in collaboration with small and medium enterprises that have collaborated with Sejauh Mata Memandang since its inception.
Sejauh Mata Memandang is once again collaborating with #SobatKebaya in the #CeritaKebaya campaign, where a number of Indonesian public figures who are members of the love kebaya community, such as Dian Sastrowardoyo, Shareefa Daanish, Titi Radjo Padmaja, Rania Yamin, Faradina Mufti, and Tissa Biani took part in the trunk show.

In addition to the trunk show, Sejauh Mata Memandang has officially opened a pop-up shop on the 3rd floor of the Grand Indonesia shopping center, East Mall, which will be open until August 2023.

With Felix Tjahyadi as a creative director collaborator and pop-up shop designer for Sejauh Mata Memandang, the interior of this pop-up shop was designed with partially recycled and reused materials from a variety of products, such as curtains made of cloth patchwork leftover from the production of Sejauh Mata Memandang and wooden pillar panels made from recycled wood waste. Additionally, as a partner in the recycling of plastic waste, Mortier processes recycled PET bottle scraps to make the display tables and clothes hangers in the store.
