From a Small Island to a Lifetime Bond: Rian & Oryza’s Story

When Rian Hermawan met Oryza Sativa Jalaluddin Rum first met on a small island in Southeast Sulawesi, neither of them expected their shared work experience would lead to something deeper.What began as an easy friendship slowly grew into a bond shaped by everyday routines and the quiet joy of being around one another. By the end of 2023, they had stepped into a new chapter, side by side.

They met during an event held by a local organization, shortly after Oryza moved to the area. As they spent more time with mutual friends, watching movies, having meals, and exploring their surroundings, their connection became stronger.

Their first date was a simple but special outing to the town’s only coffee shop, with a view of the city lights. Since then, their relationship was built on regular conversations, mutual respect, and a shared willingness to listen and learn.
